Over nearly six years, they built a life full of little moments, big memories, and a whole lot of laughter before knowing forever just made sense. Their engagement felt perfectly meant to be. They were in Cabo on a family trip, standing on the beach with the waves rolling in behind them, when Matt asked Cailey to marry him. Later, they discovered that Cailey’s parents had also gotten engaged in Cabo, almost 20 years earlier. Out of all the places in the world, they ended up right there, a truly special, full-circle moment.
When it came time to choose a wedding venue, Copper Rose Ranch immediately stole their hearts. Beyond its beauty, the ranch gave their entire family the chance to stay together throughout the weekend. Spending that time together, laughing, slowing down, and soaking it all in, made the wedding feel even more meaningful and truly like the start of their families becoming one.

Surrounded by loved ones, every moment felt perfect, not just the big events, but the quiet glances, hand squeezes, and the overwhelming feeling of being exactly where they were meant to be. I had the pleasure of photographing Cailey and Matt’s wedding at Copper Rose Ranch, and it was such a joy to see their day come together. Cailey wore a gorgeous Essence of Australia gown from True Society in Portland, Oregon, and Matt looked sharp in his suit from Tux Suit Shop. Their rings, Tacori for Cailey and Manly Bands for Matt, added special touches that made their day feel uniquely theirs.
