A Colorful Somers Mansion Wedding | Christine + Kyle

From Best Friends to Forever

Some love stories take their time, and honestly, those are often my favorite. Christine and Kyle first met while working together at a medical device company, but before they were ever a couple, they were friends. Even when Christine moved to New Hampshire for physician assistant school, they stayed in touch every single day, with Kyle becoming her biggest source of support through it all. When she moved back home, their friendship naturally turned into something more. Not long after, they were building a life together, growing their family, and planning a future that would eventually lead them to the colorful, heartfelt Somers Mansion wedding they had always dreamed of.

The Venue That Stole Their Hearts

Montana has always been a meaningful place for Christine. She spent summers there growing up and always dreamed of one day living there. So when it came time to choose a wedding venue, she flew out to visit family and tour venues across the state. After seeing thirteen different locations in one week, she walked into Somers Mansion and immediately knew it was the one. The funny part? The mansion was still under construction. While most people may have run the other direction, Christine completely trusted the vision. She signed the contract knowing they would be one of the first couples to celebrate there. It wasn’t until months later, when she excitedly told Kyle that the drywall had finally gone up, that he realized just how unfinished the venue had been when she booked it. Luckily, her faith in the project was right on the money.

A Wedding Filled With Meaning

If there is one word that describes this wedding, it’s intentional. Christine and Kyle poured so much of themselves into every part of the day. They designed custom wedding magazines, created their own decor, displayed family wedding photos, and spent countless hours making sure every detail felt personal. Christine even did all of the flowers herself, filling the day with the most beautiful colorful blooms. Nothing felt cookie-cutter, and that was exactly the point. Every piece of this wedding told part of their story, which made it feel so incredibly special from start to finish.

Built With Love From the Ground Up

One of my favorite parts of their story is how much work went into bringing their vision to life. Since they live in Arizona, getting everything to Montana was no small task. They loaded up a U-Haul trailer with all of their handmade decor and drove it across several states together. While it was a lot of work, Christine shared that the road trip ended up becoming one of her favorite memories. Looking around on the wedding day, you could truly feel the love and effort that had gone into every little detail. It wasn’t just a wedding they planned. It was something they built together.

Sunrise in Glacier National Park

As if their wedding weekend couldn’t get any better, Christine and Kyle ended it with a sunrise session in Glacier National Park. They explored Big Bend and Sun Point while the sun came up over the mountains, soaking in those first moments as newlyweds. It felt like the perfect ending to a wedding that was so uniquely them. Adventurous, meaningful, colorful, and full of heart. From trusting a venue still under renovation to handmaking nearly every detail themselves, Christine and Kyle created a wedding day that felt completely true to who they are, and that’s what made it unforgettable.
